I had been sourcing for fabric suppliers for quite long time! I shopped around on the internet and finally realized there’s no such thing as buying my “raw material” online! I do need to see the fabrics, to touch them, feel the textures, to see the brightness and the vibrance of the colors… So I decided it was time I started looking around in the city for my ideal fabric supplier.
Wasn’t long before I found him! So I called, made an appointment with a sales rep, went to the showroom and… WOW…
paradise on earth literally!! I almost passed out of over excitement at the sight of all those beautiful colors! So, it is excited (like child in a candy store) that I grabbed my sketch book, color palette and my camera and started my browsing session!

There was so much to look at! All sorts of silk, charmeuse, taffetas, amazing embroided cotton, lace, leather, and I even came across some colourful printed batik - humm who would have thought?
I can’t even start telling you how good it felt to look at all those fabrics, play around at mixing an matching the colors, feel the textures on my skin (I even smelled a couple of them – yeah am a fabric freak
)!

My browsing session lasted about 3 hours. It was heartbreaking not to be able to take the entire showroom with me L! But I had to be reasonable (given that I was on a strict budget) and settled on some wonderfully beautiful pieces. At the end of the day the price tag was still quite high but well worth every penny!
Many thanks to Stephane my sales rep who was so kind and whose help made the selection process go easy breezy.
Now I am up high on my wave of excitement and can’t wait to see what’s next!
